2020’s Top 10 Most Listened to Peepshow Podcast Episodes

by Peepshow Podcast
December 27, 2020

Art by Courtney Trouble

2020 has been quite a year. The Peepshow Podcast was on hiatus for the first 4 months of 2020 while PJ Sage, co-host and producer of the podcast, underwent chemotherapy and also had a really invasive surgery. Jessie and PJ were in and out of the hospital for a period of about 6 months while we has battling testicular cancer for the second time. Thankfully, all the the treatment worked and as of now, he is cancer free!

In May, despite the fact that the rest of the world was falling apart (or perhaps because of it), they decided to revive the podcast. They didn’t do it themselves though! The Peepshow Podcast has been fortunate to have really amazing sponsors this year that have kept them going: Quick and Dirty Media, Trouble Films, After Adult Podcast, and The Oldest Profession Podcast. In the new year, they are excited to add AORTA Films! Their support has given the Peepshow the space to create really great content. Their loyal Patreon supporters have done the same!

Here are our top 10 most listened to episodes of 2020:

1. Peepshow Live: Virtual DIY Porn Panel

The first “Peepshow Live” features DIY content creators and sex workers who will share useful skills and practices for indie porn makers, professionals, and artists. We will also discuss how creating and selling DIY content fits into the lives of creators.

Moderated by Jessie Sage, PJ Sage, and Courtney Trouble, this DIY Porn Panel will feature indie porn makers SpookyFatBrat, Gwen Adora, Rooster, and Dominique Rystan on what works for them, with attention paid to the process of content creation and working within the framework of a pandemic.

5. Episode 50: Ashley Fires, Princess Dandy, and Alex More at Woodhull

Episode 50 is our first episode back after a 6-month hiatus! We are happy to report that PJ is now officially cancer free, and this means that we can relaunch!

This episode is a bit of a time capsule, going all the way back to the fall of 2019, before our personal lives were uprooted by cancer and the rest of the world was disrupted by COVID-19. Wow, does that seem like a lifetime ago?!

We feature interviews that we did at the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit. First, we interview professional dominatrix Princess Dandy and porn star Ashley Fires; they talk about their experience at Woodhull, the work they do with SWOP New Hampshire, and the need for sex workers to come together in support of one another.

Then, we talk to brothel worker Alex More about life at the Bunny Ranch. She talks about the nuts and bolts of living and working in a legal brothel, and how it differs from the other types of sex work she has done.

6. Episode 59: Why Should We Care About the EARN IT Act with Danielle Blunt

In Episode 59 of the Peepshow Podcast we interview Danielle Blunt, professional dominatrix, sex worker rights advocate, and co-founder of Hacking//Hustling, a collective that works at the intersection of technology and social justice.
