Xöe Nova is only $4,000 away from a life-saving, life-affirming, life-changing moment. “It feels like my freedom is just over the horizon,” says the award-winning porn star, artist, sex worker, and single parent–who is now finalizing preparations for a long-fought-for top surgery with his medical team and community. His GoFundMe has raised over $11,000 of its $15,000 goal, with over 245 donors.
Like some trans men and trans non-binary guys, Xöe has been coping with the burdens of a large chest throughout his life and adult career; it’s something that has given him chronic pain, dysphoria, and serious medical conditions like costochondritis.
“I think it will feel like an affirmation of something I’ve always known about my body and myself,” he told me as we chatted informally this weekend about what the surgery means to him. “I’m meant to have a flat chest and it’s so exciting to have something so important–that I once believed to be nothing but a pipe dream–so close to becoming my reality.”
Xöe began making porn independently in 2014, and won the 2020 ManyVids award for Trans King of the Year after coming out in 2019. You can find his collection of work on ManyVids. His many followers across MV, Twitter, Patreon, and elsewhere have been a dedicated source of support, bringing this fundraiser to cover most of his medical and recovery costs. “It’s been a nerve-wracking process, transitioning as an online sex worker, but the love I’ve received from my audience is the most pleasant surprise and something I’ll always be grateful for!”
If you’d like to be a part of Xoe’s extended community right now, supporting this life-affirming moment for him, pitch in to the GoFundMe and follow him on Patreon to support his art! You can also donate through CashApp, his handle is $xoenovax.
