Stockroom recently sent me two bondage sets, for which I promised to provide honest reviews from a femme point of view. This week, I’m trying out a Limited Edition Zoë Ligon X Stockroom leather bondage set in a very unique, shade-shifting sea green with nickel-colored hardware.
Spoiler alert: After being fully bound in this set, I think I may have found my “go to” bondage set shopping spot!
Ligon is the artist and store owner who recently challenged the cis-het appropriation artist Richard Prince when he used her image without her consent. She also started doing sex education videos *with* her toys, products, and her own body, breaking ground on a whole new way to think about retail.
Ligon is, herself, featured in the Stockroom campaign for her bondage line with two incredibly cute models. Shoutout to STOCKROOM for setting up this collaboration, which I think will appeal to a ton of kink-friendly queers, plus-size femmes, and bondage bunnies looking for quality BDSM gear in a really gorgeous color.
I got the set pieces in size M/L, and as a short, fat person found them to fit nice and tight on the smallest setting. I sincerely think someone with thicker limbs can wear the M/L, but if you have specific measurements make sure to let Stockroom know; they make everything in-house and can pop you a new hole or add an inch. If you’re a size 14 or lower, try giving the S/M a try first.
I can say from experience, Kink Life is HARD for a Hard Femme like me. I feel like I always have to choose between either pink or black, limiting my scene ideas to a rather basic color palette. I’m finding myself annoyed by cliche femme aesthetics in queer marketed products.
So, thank you, Ligon, for making a bold color choice that suits those of us who want gender neutral colors that pop — and even bring out the gem tones in our eyes — while we fuck our tops. THANK YOU!
The fact that it’s a matching set makes it that much better.
Ooh yes, this hardware looks sweet but it was clearly made with rough play in mind. One thing I immediately noticed about the leash and collar set is the quality of the hardware, which is super strong and sleek and looks like it could last forever. This is important to me. If I am going to get leather, I want it to be something that will please me for a lifetime. We tested it; it passed! I fully expect to cherish this leash forever.
I also LOVE that it is SHORT. Is this the common leash length for bondage sets? Nope! The product description for the Zoe Ligon X Stockroom mint green leash says, “At 2 feet, this is a perfect leash for a sub who needs to be kept a little bit closer.” This is perfect for brats like me who are short and want to do weird things like thread the leash between the loops of the cuffs and hogtie myself.
What didn’t I like? I don’t even know. I think maybe adding to the collection is my biggest wish — pastel hogtie connectors, for example. Also, I’d love to see another color in the next season, perhaps a blue or white! Latex gloves or a mask in the series that also come in a M/L or plus-size latex options would also be awesome. So my only real issue here is that the collection has only a few pieces. ENCORE PLEASE!
Overall, I think the quality is among the best I’ve used, and I wouldn’t expect anything less from Stockroom. What’s most exciting about this set is the unique color! I have been searching for a go-to “pastel BDSM” set for a long time – but it’s just so hard to get stuff that works. This set brings color to your box of gear without sacrificing function.
Grade: *chef kisses* from an eager bondage bunny and blossoming leather daddy. I can only hope that this is not a capsule release and that we get a little bit more of this energy from an already femme-friendly store!

I will be reviewing the clear vegan CTRL set in my next post.
