Escapes and Explorations with Foria’s “Pleasure” Lube

by Amanda Sweet
July 19, 2020

As an adult content creator and as a single person in quarantine, I’m regularly on the lookout for new and exciting toys for both business and pleasure. It recently hit me that, because I moved to California, I now have access to a product that I kept hearing about, but couldn’t get on the East Coast.

Unofficially dubbed “weed lube,” the product is a THC-infused arousal oil called “Pleasure” by Foria. The company states on their website that they are “an innovative health & sexual wellness company, rooted in the proven wisdom of plants and powered by compassion.”  They sell a range of products made with hemp and cannabis oil (the latter available in-store in legalized states), championing their aphrodisiacal and relaxing qualities.

The “Pleasure” arousal oil I tried has only 2 ingredients—cannabis oil and coconut oil—making it safe for sensitive body parts, as well as contact with the mouth (I appreciate the potential of this feature).

My first dive into the product was during filming/performing, which comes with distractions (sex work is work, y’all), and my focus on the product was minimal. So, I’m instead going to talk about my second (*update*: and third, and fourth…) use in a relaxed, non-performative setting.

It typically takes at least 15 minutes for the arousal oil to take effect, which is why it’s not technically considered a lubricant; it’s more of a “pre-game” situation. Keeping the activation time in mind, I rubbed the oil along my clit, labia, and inside my vagina and then turned on some porn to enjoy while it soaked in. (If you’re following along at home, don’t forget to pay for that porn while you’re getting warmed up!). For me, there wasn’t really any sensation from applying the product. The real magic comes when it’s climax time.

The THC seems to relax the pelvic muscles, making an orgasm last for what feels like forever. I felt like I had more control over the climax, too, like I didn’t need to worry about the orgasm getting away from me. I could let the feeling just ride without it abruptly ending before I wanted it to; I basically had to decide when the orgasm would stop. If that doesn’t sound like a handy tool, I don’t know what is.

With this experience in mind, I enthusiastically recommend “Pleasure” by Foria as part of your self-care toolkit—not for “I NEED TO CUM RIGHT NOW” sex/masturbation, but rather, for a more deep, intimate dive in which you set aside an hour just to relax and enjoy yourself, alone or with partners. There is also a non-THC, CBD version of the oil (“Awaken”) that is supposed to have similar effects if you can’t get a hold of THC products in your location.

May your orgasms be long and fulfilling!
